View Full Version : Ducati Bristol - Regular Monthly Meet

The senior management at Ducati Bristol have been with me talking for some while about the Ducati Clubs in the area having meetings at their showroom.
After a bit of diary punching we finally have a regular spot that doesnt clash with existing club nights / days and fits in round the dealerships other commitments. This will be on the 3rd saturday in the month between 10am and Midday.
As a Harley dealer they also do similar for HOG and this has been very succesful and we are being offered similar facilities.
In addition to the Cafe faciliites they have also offered us use of the board room as a club house or if there is enough interest, then I will organise some speakers from tyre, oil, fuel manufacturers plus talks from the dealership staff.
It can be whatever local riders make of it but I am assured that if it is well supported then the dealership will reciprocate with their full support. There is of course the facility to test bikes, talk to showrooom / workshop staff and spend oodles of money. I will make sure that we get first shot at invites for special events being held there.
I think this is very important for us as a club and it will strengthen the local section and give new or prospective owners a chance to look at UKMOC and join in with us.
I attach a flyer showing local events.

I'll try to make it down for one or two Duncan, when do they kick off?
Also, any news on the Xmas meal?

They start in February, click on the PDF attachment to the original message and print it out, the dates are in a yellow box.
Xmas meal - a mail will be going out this week from my 'PA' but its not happening due to not enough takers. We will do something else concentrating on those that have supported the group all year..

Right ho, shame about the lack of take up on the meal front, perhaps we could arrange a pub meal somewhere convenient instead? Will keep in touch!

I'll certainly be coming along to the Glocs rideouts and meets once the weather warms up a bit. I might even get along to a couple of Bristol meets too. I always spend too much money in there though. I only went in for a pair of Draggin' Jeans and came away with a new Monster. I didn't even like Ducatis!

Could have been worse. Might have gone in with the monster and come out with a pair of drag queens!!

Just to remind local riders that the 1st meet at Ducati Bristol is tomorrow Saturday 18th from 10am - Midday at Riders in Bristol.
Hope to see a few of you Ducatisti there.
This is a great initiative supported by the local clubs and Ducati Bristol but it wont work without your support.
REMEMBER - IF YOU DONT SUPPORT IT, YOU LOSE IT!!!

Thanks to everyone who came down to Bristol today. A few came from as far as Cheltenham (Andy and Peter) and Devizes (Don and Jo)
We saw about 20 owners, mostly on their bikes which considering it was frosty and foggy early on was a good turn out. It is the 1st time I can remember Ducati riders outnumbering Harley riders in the Caff and did you notice the special menu Monster Burgers and Desmo dinners.
Saw a number of new faces there purely because of our location including Charlie with an S2R, Peter on a 749, Jon on an ST2.
At the end we were all outside when Ian fired up the VERY loud Sport 1000. That is a gorgeous bike...............I want one........
All in all a very encouraging 1st meet at this venue.

Was good to catch up today. Had a good blast home up the A46 with Pete on his 749 (think he was a bit suprised quite how fast these "little monsters" can go!) - Thanks for showing us the way Duncan!
Here is the Sport Classic... it was indeed, gorgeous, and I want one too (but with higher bars:o)

That Sport Classic looks fantastic - the pipes are sooo much better than the huge factory jobbies

The Sport Classic is simply yummy, and those termis sound unbelievable, fairly loud and a really sharp bark. I want!!!!!!
