My baby is finally back together. Maybe a little to bling for some tastes but I'm pleased with it. Im sure it wont be long before I think of some more work that I can do. Still wondering about the exhaust system though. I have a 2 into 1 stainless system but not sure!!! Hmmm !!

I think the blank no plate will be ok as long as I dont draw attention to the bike in any way

but with no plate they wont know who you are, clever you see! are those the little reservoir pots that stuart sells?

Looking good, However not sure about the Zorsts kinda look like they are just hanging there in an uncomfortable position. Low levels would look good

Stuart, I think your bike looks lurvely.

Anybody that rides a bike with a helmet that matches is cool in my book.

Hey Stuart

Nope, not too bling. Still room for a disco ball.

Lurving the wheels! Are they really that bright?

Paranoid Dave
17-01-2006, 01:47 PM

Fran
17-01-2006, 03:00 PM
Congratulations Stuartg on getting the monnie baby back together.... she sure looks cool...love the whole thing.... and don't reckon its too bling !! Definately worth the wait eh! You still considering the multistrada mirrors?

stuartg
17-01-2006, 03:09 PM
Thanks to all for comments, very constructive

Alex the reservoirs are Rizomo, not sure what Stuart sells but they do look very similar if not the same. Scotty the indicators are built into the rear lamp, obviously no good for mot but looks pretty all the same.

MrC + Dave thanks for comments re exhausts. I need to do something with them. Dave bad suggestion re painting brackets multi coloured dont want the bike to stand out to much!!! Black may be a good thing unless I can fit the stainless 2 into 1

can i have a pringle?

The pringles are definately on me......... Well, when I say on me, thats not strictly true, they're actually in a tube thing...........Dont suppose you would want any if they were actually on me.......no course you wouldnt..........oh I'm ramblin

Its all a matter of taste!!

It's also a matter of expressing an opinion and it is not about stating the obvious! different people have different tastes?! sorry but that is news to me! look->:banghead: I think stuart has done a very fine job and I salute his commitment and the level of finish. Just a bit too HELLO look at my colours!! for my tastes. Although I hear talk that people have diffent tastes? crazy but thats alright then.

Alice.

ps keep the carbons, metal would be more hues, carbon is lighter and temp wise a lot cooler. loose the carbon can heat guards and just keep them around the pipe. oh and yes black the bracket!

Alex you are right of course it is a matter of taste and opinion that is what makes the Monster a wonderful machine. As I said in my original post, it is a bit bright for some tastes. The criticism is generally constructive which is good and others opinions are generally welcome. If I was worried about peoples opinions and negative feedback I wouldn't post in the 1st place.

The advice I have had re exhausts has given me a few ideas, thanks.

ps Interestingly Alex the girls seem to like it more than the lads so at least I've got a babe magnet.............shame about the ugly git who rides it eh :D

Scotty the indicators are built into the rear lamp, obviously no good for mot but looks pretty all the same.

Not sure what you mean with regard to the built in indicators being no good for the MOT? If you mean there are none there then lose the front ones for the MOT and get it tested without cators. The cator holes in the seat cowl could be nicely blanked with some stainless mesh.
It all looks jolly smart in a shell suit sort of way and as Mand says having a helmet matching your bike is unbelievably hyper-KEWL

Top job on the new bodywork Stuart. Like Alex it's a little bit loud for my own taste but a fantastic bit of work all the same. See what you mean about the cans though... difficult to suss what needs tweaking TBH

Maybe a trial swap to low levels (if you can borrow a set) for a comparison worth a try, but it may leave the tail looking a bit lost? Looking forward to an in the flesh viewing in May - assuming you'll be at Arrow Mill?
