what should i look out for when buying a monster whats the common problems? i know recent service history and the normal stuff, tyres, brakes etc. just the monster hints and tricks is needed.

They're fairly basic, so any serious problems should be fairly obvious!
Just a good look round at the general condition, check it's not bent anywhere and the tank isn't dented, that the engine starts easily and runs without any nasty noises etc. As you're in reddich I'd ask our fair Phoenix if she'll perhaps help you out, she's only down the road from you and knows a fair bit about monsters! (o er missus) ;)

Service history by a reputable dealer would be nice. Ensure the belts have been replaced lately and the rockers adjusted, at least. Apart from being a good indication as to how well its been looked after it costs a small fortune to get these items done.

cheers for that, will be getting a 600 1st so the missus can use it after she passes her test (fingers crossed) then if she does we'll get another for me. maybee a 9 tho.

might call upon your knowlege of monsters phoenix after xmas if you dont mind, as your so close. my daughter goes to astwood bank school Ridgeway, snes a fan of bikes aswell. starting early at 9y/o.

Please do :) My little one goes to the first school and both my older ones went to Ridgeway.

In fact we've (thank you - you know who you are ;) )just purchased another 600 today for my eldest and my middle daughter Tiff is bike mad too she has a KE175.

It's madness here :burnout:
