I'm in the process of tidying-up my back end (Ooer!). I'm trying out a 'surgery-free' bobtail conversion this weekend.

I have seen these white number boards on ebay for the rear cowl of a monster and can't help thinking how cool the SPS versions of the 748 and 916 look but that's probably because they have swoopy seats. What's the consensus? They seem pretty expensive:

Also, when you fit mini-indicators, do you need to change the flasher unit?

Number boards cool - yes (IMO etc.)

New flasher unit for minicators - not necessary.

What a coincedence..Pedro rang me this morning asking me what I thought of the very same item !!! On the cool wall IMO..had them on my old monnie and had the one side signed by neil hodgson looked great !! There also very easy to apply.

You get number 1's with the kit too..but dont bother with those or it will all get a bit 'max power' !!

Cheers

My bike is Red. Anyone got a picture of a red bike sporting boards. As for the number issue, I reckon no number is best. certainly not #1 and absolutely NOT #69!

unless you are a racer with a race bike and like racing round race tracks in a racey type way, they look a bit 'trying too hard' Its not a 'sports' bike is it, so the point is lost surely? It doesn't even work in an ironic sence, JMo's well into irony i hope she'll back me up here. Put number boards on a C90 or cg125  but put them on a monster and you just clutter up the clean lines of the bike.

I would however say that they do work in conjunction with the corse stripe as it makes the white a more colour feature of the bike and appears on each painted panel.

IMO ;)

Call me an imbecile if I'm wrong but I've just sprayed my bike up in a nice metallic blue and I quite like the idea of the corse stripes with the number boards aswell.

Masked up mine and painted it Paul - Just not sure about this yellow and red stuff though - I may invest in a new front board as yet.

Only problem if I start spraying a bit of my red monster with a yellow top coat is that I'll want to do it all ;)
