the two that hold the overdesigned headlamp clamps, does anyone know the size? I fancy getting stainless as they grin at me like red headed stepchildren. scratch the metaphor, I have a lot of time for redheads...anyway, they have to go..

Disc bolts are M8 x 25
The two holding the U bracket on are not plain bolts - they're about 60mm long but have about half the threads turned off to leave just a round section about 30mm from the end.
I'll post a pic tomorrow if you want

cheers pedals, yeah I had the u bolt things out when I was goofing about with the lamp last xmas, I thought a fastener expert might say "oh yeah mate, n60 (p) with a 80mm inner turned sleeve dome to number 3" I will have to yank it out and show the man.
ta very much.
Alex.
ps.the m8 25 was a guess! I seem to be getting the hang of this.

i stainless'd mine over winter, cant actually buy them easily so bought the right length and then viced each one and filed off the teeth. Yes I filed down a stainless bolt, a good use of an hour or two but a proud feeling it was when it fitted.
A tip tho, if you file off any thread and want to ensure you can still screw it into desired hole after and you haven't buggered up the entry thread, bolt on a couple of stainless nuts up t the head before you file off the end, then when done take the nuts off an it should help ease the run of anything you may have knackered in the process :D

cheers, they are available but if not readily I will go the file route, being a "crazy guy yah!" I tend to favour the thumb index finger angle grinder approach. Chicks dig scars etc.
