Apparently M3 owner was sleeping with ex-wife of psycho nutter bastard. Psycho goes to ex's house and takes out aggression on M3 owner's new M3. "

And the moral of this story.........................

Looks like the guy needs a few anger management classes, as the "take a deep breath & count to 10" approach obviously isn't working?

Mind you that splash effect interior could start a trend. Expect to see leather sofas in DFS sale, sporting a similar design before christmas

Why? Green eyed monster tell you to say that?

Tossers are tossers because they are, not by the car they drive. Typical, narrow mindedness response which is exactly what is wrong with the world today. Too many envious people trying to bring down the hard working ones who have the gall to treat themseves to something nice.

Oh, and have a nice day.

nice to know i must have found the 1%, must be all the rest of them then that are egotistical self obsessed tossers.
So if you wanted to treat yourself, why didn't you get something that didn't give that reputation then?

Hee hee A from I is off again...

I agree with Simon, but at the same time, I do agree with P Diddly - while the M3 is a fabulous technical tour de force and a thing of great dynamic and engineering beauty, BMW's are on the whole, bought by people who have something to prove - be they drug dealers, DJ's, blonde wifey's or simply arrogant twats who think they're a BTCC champion... shame, but there you go - another great brand goes down the pan thanks to the neuvaux riche...

I did, that's why I'm on this list.

On a practical note, name the alternatives? A car that can carry 5 passengers, a pram, a weeks shopping and still give you the same silly grin that comes from riding motorbikes?

Audi S4 ?
I have some empathy with all the contributors to this thread. I personally like BMW cars and have considered having one in the past. Of course not all BMW drivers are tossers, but BMW now has a bit of a reputation for this hence I had an Audi. Of course a lot of Audi drivers would also be considered tossers, along with Merc, Saab, and other drivers of the supposed better marques, most of it fuelled by envy. Nobody can or should be judged by the type of car they drive despite the stereotyping associated with some marques, BMW drug dealers, Volvo caravan club, Skoda and Rover OAP's etc, etc

Gypsies drive Mercs...
Apart from that, I think JMo hit it on the head. Beamers are among the most fantastic cars money can buy with brilliant tech specs and it definitly gives you a grin. But unfortunatly the preferred cars of the people who want to, but cannot
I don't see what all this has to do with a BMW guy shagging an unbalanced mans ex wife though.

Most people are gits, if you think that by observing some system of car ownership -a heirachy of gittishness if you will- then one will eventually be blindsided by a twonk in a mitsubishi or a berk on a ducati (yes) ...Why the fellow attacked the persons car and not the actual person seems a bit odd? but then on balance I am a bit unbalanced.

My GP drives a merc - does that mean he's a Gypsy? They would have to have them in Nigeria as well if that's the case, and perhaps they use mud huts on wheels instead of caravans? :D

Come to think of it my Dentist drives one as well... dammit the buggers are everywhere!! I'm due for a check up soon, so I'll have to ask him what type of caravan he lives in?

He probably is...does he have a ponytail and earrings?
Not aware of the situation in Nigeria, however most gypsies (I'm sorry - travelling people  ) drive mercs in continental Europe.

Regarding your body mechanics' choice of wheels, you must be happy to see that your tax money is used wisely?

Sure - it's not what they drive, but how they drive it - unfortunately, the vast majority of BMWs (and Audis, and Mercs even Saabs it seems) are driven in a somewhat aggressive and discourtious manner - and I would suggest that is a reflection of their advertising, and indicative of the sort of people it appeals to?

There are always the odd exception, but generalisations are based on observing the majority... look at the guy in an Alpinestars one-piece on a GSXR - he might be and IAM rider, observing the speed limits and displaying perfect road positioning, but on the whole he's caning it through a village and getting his knee down on roundabouts...

what else do the max power tossers want once they grow out of the hot hatch market, I tend to tar them all with the same brush and assume that anyone in a BMW is in it for the badge and stutus and because they're not clever enough to spell anything else.

indeed, this bmw bashing -simply due to the assumed status- is a bit bl oody rich given that this is a ducati site?! (coolest brand on the planet etc) which regularly knocks both the absurd (hogs) and the practical (honda) double standards here kids, consider your heads bounced.

Still using the Braille keyboard, old chap?

psp. I drive my car like i ride my bike, which you could describe as aggressive, but that's only because of the imbeciles that are conspiring against me by getting in my way and driving at half the speed limit in the outside lane. GRRR!!!! It's not a BMW though, it's a nice cuddly wuddly MX5. Ahh...

No it's not... None of the Spangle's creations are good looking.

The Z8 is the mutt's nutt's however and so similar to the original that it copies. Gorgeous..

Ps, I do actually like the older BMs of the 90's.

Nah, the Z4, and any other "flame surfaced" BMW styled by Chris Bangle can not be described as pretty, even when parked alongside a Pontiac Aztec (at that is a ugly vehicle).

s2000? TT? 350? pork boxster? no no no...Bangle is a curse but for once he has got it right, much prettier than the competition (most of which ape the TT which was interesting when it first appeared) As for the z8? why? when for that money you could buy a proper classic or a proper sports? (something Italian)

IMO.

Having run proper classic cars I can assure you it is a labour of love, and unless you know one end of a spanner from a nother, it can be a fraut (sic?) expensive affair-bit like Ducatis then.. No, the Z8 gives the classic look but with modern running standards, a bit like the best British Sports car ever made-the Mk1 Mazda MX5.

TT was interesting, but is now a bit of a city luvvie mobil and not a proper sports car at all. 350Z? Interesting, but give me a Nissan rebuilt 240Z anyday! Boxster? Well, one of the bosses at work has just bought one to support his mid life crisis. It is silver with maroon leather and it is drop dead gorgeous, and as it is an 'S' it goes well too.

Z4? Looks like a dingo's breakfast. Probably drives ok though, as i hear it is a revelation compared to the Z3. Hat's off for them being daring and different, but it's as pretty as Tracy Emin after a weekend on the razz. No thanks...

A Yerbury
11-11-2005, 01:14 AM
with the z8 budget you employ someone to do the labour...you do the love! agree about the TT, hats off etc for sticking with a bold concept from the cad software/back od a fag packet doodle. but the boxster? we will agree to differ..a very uninspiring design that will never lead but always follow. Actually the z8 is nice but sat next to a spyder? no contest really.

ps.when is the big heave ho happening?

Did sir ever see the original concept car that the Boxster ws based on? Much more designer chic inside. Most of the design did carry over but not the retro fans in the cooling vents, they were tres cool.

pspsp just got the call this minute saying it is all a gogo. All the others are giving/receiving their month's notice then I slot into the position when everyone shuffles. Got a flat on the Swindon Magic Roundabout (I'm sure locals could guess where...) which I will invade in about 3 weeks and stay for a few months til I can find some olde world gaff in Burford or similar near Brize Norton and all that jazz. Can't wait!
