Replaced the standard red plastic jobbie on my S4R for a carbon fibre version, courtesy of Moto Rapido via Ebay. I hoped that it would be somewhat stiffer than the standard but it was worse! At moderately high speeds it started to flatten like a really flat thing that's been flattened a lot.

But wait, worse than that, whilst it was parked on the Marine Drive at Scarborough on Saturday, a stiffish breeze blew up and there was my pride and joy parked amongst all the usual japanese offerings and the fairing & screen started bobbing up and down like a.............. bobbing-up-and-downy thing.

Imagine the comments from passers-by like "I'd heard that Ducatis weren't crap anymore" & "Italian built heh?"

Of course I waited 'till no-one was around before I returned to it.

Straight on to Spareshack who sent me a pair of bracing brackets & bonnet de douche as Del Boy would say!

So, if yours is a bit bendy, you know what to do and at £18 delivered, not cheap but at least you will be spared the embarrassment like wot I was subjected to!

I had the same problem with my C/F Fairing it is easily sorted-only my small child was a bit peeved on discovering that one of the carbon fibre poles from her Kite were now fairing steadies!

ironically it sounds as if the screen would make a very effective kite?

just a thought.
