use a ladder (inverted V) accross the bike, and some straps through the frame.
works a treat.

Or, if you have a garage, straps from the roof beams?

cheers for your replies the garage roof is an option but not the strongest looking thing in the world, and i dont have any ladders, will need to give more thought. thanks again :burnout:

Get yourself a couple of axle stands, put a thick metal bar through the swingarm and rest this on the stands (or if you have rearsets you might be able to rest it on the spacers) if you use a paddock stand to lift the rear, slip stands under and then lower it back down onto them. If you can get someone to tilt the back of the bike so the weight is off the front, take out front wheel and rest the fork bottoms on some carpet and once done the rear wheel will be ready to come off.

Sounds tricky but think about it, its easy.
