I am thinking of fitting a white stripe kit and painting the wheels white over the winter, so if any body has some hints/tips/products or reasons not to do this then line 'em up. The machine in question is a '97 600 in red with bronze frame, carbon cans (which will be geeting the chop to 12" long), carbon hugger and mirrors.
Thanks

Its the spots of chain lube that make the white look a mess unless you are sparce with the lube or clean it often.

Top banana, PM me your address and i'll pop a cheque in the post.
shaun , as far as the bike goes cleanliness is next to godliness.
The problem is i am bored with the stock wheel and it's colour so a cheap answer is to paint it, but i dont really like red or gold wheels, so i thought the white stipe would tie it in.
eBAy for a wheel rim white pinstripe decal? Best of both worlds if you like the look.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WHEEL-RIM-DECALS-DUCATI-MONSTER-M600-M620-ST4-ST4S-748R_W0QQitemZ8005695005QQcategoryZ10448QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem

Never mind that Tommo, but I really think you need to sell me your screen!
Get the wheels powder coated - much more durable finish. I seem to recall that you can buy stripe kits on ebay, but I bet they're a bugger to apply...
Keep us posted!

Soapy water makes fitting stickers and stripes much easier - spay the surface, apply the stripe and the soap lets you move it around, then squeegee the excess out.

Hi guys, not worried about the fitting of the stripes as i'm used to fitting window tint which is applied as Ped said, but i'll leave the bikes nuts on. "spay".
Sorry Nik the screen is a big must for me as i need all the aerodynamic help i can get.
also anyone ever cut any carbon cans?

Wrap around area to cut with insulation tape .
Mark off the required area and use a dremmill with a fine cutting blade it worked for me.
Wear a dust mask cos its manky stuff up the old nostrels ;)
