Ok, the next stupid thing I feel the need to share is this.....

Roller disco at Colchester! It's got a bar and everything.

Quad boots or in-lines, whatever floats your boat.

I am currently suggesting Friday November 4th for this extra curricular activity.

There are beds available at mine for the Friday night. Don't know how we will get there and back yet, perhaps a combination of trains, walking and taxis but it's only about 10 miles away.

Check it out then if you don't believe me....

Apparently it's Europe's finest skating rink.

hmmmm

a few years ago we thought it would be a laugh to go to the roller rink at martlesham, 4 of us went and there must have been about 50 people on the rink, we were the only four with hired skates. The rest were gits who weren't old enough to hang around pubs and needed a place to cruise and chat up. They took great delight in getting as close as possible without hitting you or showing off in front off you to p*ss us off. I think i did about 4 laps and sat out the rest. Was not an experience i want to repeat.

Can i suggest if you want to go on a friday night, you either care not one bit or go along one week to see what its like.

Jesus Dave, you can be a right grumpy sod!

You didn't think you would enjoy most of the things I've dragged you to but you DO!!!

Actually you're turning into Alex Yerbury. Relax folks, he enjoys it!

I can't make the 4th sadly but I know the future of foolishness rests in safe hands with those who will make it and make it a great evening!

I reckon we need a 70s disco next - after those wheels - and we need Scrumpster to come and help us fin the big fish, little fish, cardboard box and shopping trolley!!!

Hurrah Hurrah!!! Here's hoping - Christmas and I don't have a good history -
(a) I'm Jewish
(b) I'm a failed member of that community in a BIG BIG BIG way (ask my ex, well actually no - don't, trust me on this one!!!)
But who knows - maybe this year! (isn't that a song???)

Here's to cheesy tunes and too much alcohol - or is that just a normal weekend???

Well, think of this Christmas as more of a celebration of all that is tacky yet good natured. Plus you do get a holiday from work and I get time off for good behaviour so I think all in all, it's worth looking forward to!

Indeed - and there are sales and crap tv to look forward to as well!!! :D

so what if i'm grumpy, i'm having one of those days or weeks (not including the weekend) I for one love christmas sooo much, maybe this year i'll put a tree up, but then again why change my habits. Maybe this year i'll get more than christmas day and boxing day off work, then again maybe santa will have a team of flying pigs to pull him this year.
Three more pay days before the big day, i do hope my family want nothing more than a tube of smarties for christmas.
Humbug

That I have to see.

Had a go on bikes yesterday in Sainsburys car park. Dave and I executed a perfect figure of 8 in perfect symmetry. It was a sight to behold. I'm sure it's possible to recreate this on 8 wheels.

It's a maple rink you know. Tempted? Surely.

Always tempted, my fingers burn easily but I have special gloves.
