hmm possibly the tackiest idea for a tattoo ever but....for a good layout get a decal or a picture (ebay/internet), scan it, then print it via a laser jet onto tracing paper. well worth the faff.

you could always place a stencil onto your flesh, then lie in the sun for a few hours?! Of course each to their own, but I did recall seeing the same thing on here not long ago, there is a (very long) thread called "show us yours" featuring inky flesh, have a search it might be up your street?

I wish I'd thought of that! On my home planet we hoist people such as yourselves upon our shoulders, bestow gifts and make them king for life.

well done you!
Axel.

As long as you dont hoist me up on to a wooden cross and attach me with carpentry fastenings as happened to me quite recently.......and vinegar and gall doesnt have the same refreshment value as sparkling wter with a dash of elderflower cordial I find

Dave in t'USA's 'show me yours and I'll show ya mine' thread was lost in the great thread cull earlier this year.

Didn't he do a record with that knob from Gorrillaz?

Nick, no, tattooing is a winter sport for me! I spend too long in the sun during the summer for fresh ink.

Think I'm going to be edging away from the whole Ducati... Bikes Forever.... I love my Brick sort of thing but each to their own.

Anybody minded to start up a fresh 'show me your tattoos' thread then since the old one has disappeared into the ether and there are some new faces (and possibly fresh tattoos on old faces/bodies)?

There's a few members here with some good 'uns for inspiration - Space and Walkingpictures spring to mind...

Dragons r us.

Keep wondering about more ink this winter (like you I save it for the winter so I can catch some rays in the summer). Researching the idea of the mythical Irish Salmon of Knowledge in the same celtic stylee but can't quite find what I'm after. Off to have another chat with Phil the Tat when I get some free time.

Nik, I used to have a large poster of this but sadly no longer. Have a look at:

Cheers Sean (the fount of all other knowledge!).

The closest I've seen to what I'm after is one on Pat Fish's (no pun intended) site (this one - http://www.luckyfish.com/fish.html). It's on the Photos>Fish page. I want to keep all mine plain rather than coloured but it should be readily amendable. I'd appreciate it if your mate has anything similar though. Like the harp one - very sinilar to the sort of thing I'm looking for.

That my friend was a hammerhead shark, or possibly a carp. I saw a fantastic Yakuza back tattoo of a carp in full colour in an advert for the London tattoo festival (and no, not just two pseud gay ruskies singing their favourites) on the front of the EasyJet magazine - I think. Not my choice of subject, but fantastic work. Why hasn't anyone else cracked a joke about tattoo?
