Hello, M amd P are doing 2 dunlop d204 tyres for £99. this cant be bad has any body any experience or opinions of these tyres.

..................they could be about 5 years old. Hence the price.

If you don't go 'Tear Arsin' they shouldn't be a problem. :)

I had 204's fitted as standard when I bought my bike (in 2002 I might add x), and they wore very well, were fine in the dry/warm, but a bit sketchy in the damp and cold weather - which is what we are heading into ths time of year of course...

As Stevej suggests - as a commuter hack tyre they'd be ok - but they'll last so long you'll end up wishing they would hurry up and wear out so you can change them for something else...

As a thought - if you are particularly after some cheap tyres, ask some of the Desmo Due bunch - they seem to be forever selling their Diablos off with only one or two races worth of wear (and that is mainly on the edges of course x) - £60 should see you sorted for a pair - check the DSC site, or one or two here may have some for sale too...
