So apart from Mr Yerbs and his boy who else is going to the run on Sunday.
It looks like it will be a big one this year with 80000 bikes expected to run from London to Brighton.
The American Chopper boys and owner of the Ace mark will lead the run out and down to brighton.
See you there?

Now you're talking! Me and my mates have been on most of them and, if you want to keep with the run, park near the traffic lights so you're near the front when it starts. The marshalls keep the Hanger Lane junction open for the main part of the run but it gets fragmented eventually.
If you're going back to the Ace on way home the best route is along the coast to Shoreham, pick up the A24 (which is a good road with very little traffic), round Leatherhead and then A243 to Surbiton, Kingston, Richmond, over Kew bridge and onto Gunnersbury Ave to Hanger Lane and Ace. The only busy bit is getting across Kew bridge and Gunnersbury Ave, the rest is a good run.
We've tried various routes and M25 is a disaster.
If the weather is ok, and there's a lot there, it's easier to park on the top road pavement overlooking Maderia Drive. It can be a long crawl to park on Maderia and the air cooled bikes can get very hot.

yeah come on chaps, pull your fingers out! this is more important than watching desmo dos and the inevitable "open day" at a shop which may or may not be happening but probably is....Are you going then "crazy" Julie? my self and my bwoy will probably head straight there, the ace run route is a bit of a motorway and there are more scenic routes packed full of two wheels so I guess we'll do that. Plus Richys bike runs out of fuel every ten minutes. I hope Mr Runningman will be in attendance, apparently it's my job to do the pm thing, hang on...
Alex.
ps.Richard is not my boy he is my "bitch"
pps.we take turns, I'm not a complete swine you know.

Yes I am generally going (I'll be the one waving at you from the clouds), and as Alex rightly says it is all about the sensible priorities. This should be worthy of some brief attention IMO etc etc.
Thanks for the thought ref the fuel, no biggy, some things just weigh you down and Im more of an up guy these days.
with regards from the boy who eschews Kiteflyers Hill and other such travesties x
IMO etc, love the spikes, IMO etc etc xxx
ps with regards to the photos of the run passing under I would advise the use of nuns. Think about it.

Thanks for the advice but i have a very exclusive parking place in brighton undercover, keeping two other bikes company. Its called Jennys garage - Oh and i'l be on a water cooled bike - KTM and a peanut tank so i'll also be running out of fuel every 10 mins x

I was the official photographer for the ace opening in 2001 dontchaknow! I can't remeber whether it runs clocks or not clockwise out of the ace if it's towards Hanger lane then there is an aqueduct (grand union canal you can get to it) or the other way in which case there are a couple? you should have scouted this out earlier naughty girl! Mark will probably let you shoot from the roof when he makes his "on your marks speech" otherwise have a peek at an A_Z (not the small inner london one as that does not go all the way)
I have no idea who these American chopper boys are but then I only watch proper television and the smut channel freeviews.
good luck Ill see what I can think of.
Alex.
I hope to god they are riding "normal" bikes, cos those bikes that they make don't look capable of going around any corners.

Well I like to play things cool you see - i can't remeber directions to save my life. The Ace is in london , right so is it near the london Eye or something?
I'm seeing Mark on Saturday night to sort out details like that. He's leading the run out this year so i'll get all the info on saturday night - with any luck i'll get to ride right up front with them and then get ahead todo the other shots i need.
Looking forward to seeing you both eddie and d1ck x
PS....D1ck its never with a 'Y' only ever with an 'IE'.....Hush puppies!!
