Ohlins question

I just got an Ohlins Shock on eBay, used but looks in very good condition.
Having scanned the manulas on the Ohlins website I'm a little concerned.
When turning Adjuster C(see picture) I can't feel any clicks, is this normal? Is it stuffed? Adjuster A has 8 clicks per full turn and Adjuster B has one click per full turn.

I've just had a twiddle with my "C" knob and it does have a definate click this means
nowt to me but does it help you?

Thanks Terry, that adds to my concern slightly. I was wondering if it is because the bike's weight isn't on it, It definitely moves up and down as it turns, just no clicking.

Its not right..speak to someone at Harris or KAIS. I sold a brand new ohlins shock for a MH900e not so long ago, and that was the same..FRESH IN ITS BOX :eek:

Thanks Nat. That's what I was worried about. I'm going to get hold of the seller/Harris tomorrow and work it out. All in all I'd rather have a good shock than my money back.

Out of interest Nat, how much do you sell one of these for? Ducati part 96613103B.

Thanks for the advice. I called HM Racing in Orpington, they reckon £125 + VAT to rebuild it, it sounds as though a seal has gone and it's lost its gas, which means all the seals and oil need changing. I guess it's negotiate or return time... the cost is getting close to a new one.

just spoke to Woody (DWR) and said without a doubt its lost its gas

Thanks Terry. I spoke to the seller, he's sending me a cheque for most of the cost of the rebuild, seemed a decent bloke(as long as the cheque clears). So we're both happy.
