Saturday 10th is the annual speed trials on Brighton Seafront - and this year Steve from Moto Rapido and his girlfriend will be campaining a couple of Ducati's to try and see off the Hyabusa's and such like...

Usually I organise a lunch deal at a nearby Italian restaurant, although since I've not had a huge response this year I can't pre-book, so we may just play it by ear and arrive en mass and pay the regular prices (still good value though x)

If you are coming down to Brighton for the day and want to hook up with some other MOCers, please see thread in Sussex Events, or PM me...

Then in the evening, the Ace Cafe is having it's 12th* anniversary party, with bands, booze, grub and the guys from American Chopper over for the weekend... We'll be there from about 6pm, so any locals (or those who fancy a ride in), see you there?!

80.000 Riders in motion. From everywhere, every type, every style
- one destination!

The primary reason for the annual Ace Cafe Reunion, Ride With The Rockers & Brighton Burn-up is to celebrate the unique history, culture and style of the Ace Cafe. The event acts as a focus in the biking calendar for all those who are not only interested in the Ace Cafe, Ton-Up Boy and Rocker heritage, but also for those many others who enjoy a weekend full of motorbikes and fun.

All Riders Welcome!

This year, our 12th Reunion weekend, kick starts at the famous North London cafe on Friday 9th September, with the arrival of The Continental Run, with rider’s from across Europe joining us for an all rock n’ roll party night.

On Saturday 10th September, bikes and rider’s will enjoy an escorted ride-out from the Ace into central London - 'Kill Spills Rally' Ride (The Mayor of Brent will be flagging off the Kill Spills Ride) to Westminster, sponsored by the BMF - drawing attention to the menace of diesel spills - then back to the cafe where, as well as bands and DJ’s playing ‘till late, there will be a display of special machines including the Comanche & The Jets bikes from American Chopper guys - The Teutuls. Debuting the Ace Cafe London Triumph Thruxton Cafe Racer Special built by the maestro 'Mr. Martini' of Italy's renowned Triumph specialist Numero Tre.

Sunday 11th September, thousands of bikes, one destination, Brighton’s famous seafront, with stands, displays and special invited guests to include, Father Scott Anderson of the 59 Club, numerous British motorcycling legends, together with, for the first time in the UK, meet the Teutuls - all the way from the USA, the guys and bikes from American Chopper.

The American Chopper guys will ride with the Brighton Burn Up Run from Ace Cafe to Madeira Drive. Ace Face Mark Wilsmore will be accompanying them on the Race Thruxton especially prepared by Numero Tre.

Bikes to leave the cafe on the Brighton Burn Up at 10am, travelling on the A406 North Circular Road to Hanger Lane, then onto the Westbound A40 to the M25, then M23 down to Brighton and onto seafront Road, Madeira Drive. Estimated time of arrival in Brighton 11.30am.

Triumph presents 'Rockers & Racers' Exhibition. A series of evocative photographs, drawn from the Ace Cafe London archive, at the Julie-Anne Gilbert Gallery, Madeira Drive, Brighton, for one day only - Sunday 11th September.

Like other historic and compact cities, parking right in the heart of the city is at a premium. If you decide to bring your car into Brighton, there's no need to drive right into the city centre. A Park & Ride is available from Withdean Stadium in the north of the city, is signposted from the A23, and enables you to park your car and catch a bus to the centre. The Park && Ride system is the most recommended way to park in Brighton.

National Car Parks in Brighton are situated on:
Church Street
North Road
Church Hill Square
Russell Road

Marina Way Car Park
From the A27 take the B2123. Turn right at first set of traffic lights, sign posted Brighton Town Centre, Race Course and Marina Village. Turn left at second set of traffic lights, past the Race Course and follow the signs for the Marina Village where there is parking for 1500 cars in the multi-storey car park and a coach park.

Any MOCers (and chums of course) wanting to meet up in Brighton on Saturday during the day, we intend to be at Al Duomo's from midday - you can usually park outside the resturant on the paved precinct...

See map for directions, and hope to see you there...
