ducati museum & factory visit

Anyone been to Bologna for the factory & museum visit? Is it worth the journey?
I was thinking about driving or riding over next year but I have just seen flights for £1.29 with ryanair, so it's a no-brainer!

Do it! It's a really good visit if you like your Dukes. Went over to Bologna in early July for a few days and paid a visit to the factory while there. The museum is cracking, all the significant race bikes and the factory tour is fascinating. Just be sure to book in advance.

Yeah, the city is way cool, very relaxed, lovely people, just watch out when you're crossing the road for the loons on scooters!! The food and wine are excellent too.

as the others say - its well worth doing :)

the DSC has organised trips for the last 3 years in winter - usually January - last time there were almost 50 of us leaving Stansted with Ryan Air :eek: - tickets for self & AK cost 1p each way - but with taxes etc, came to a grand total of about £52 for the pair of us.
About 35 of us stayed over for one night, to sample the night life of Bologna which was a great hoot :D - also sorted ourselves a coach to collect & drop us to & from the airport, and managed to get mega discounts at the Ducati shop down the road too. A great couple of days :cool:

I have been discussing the possibility of a UKMOC trip to the factory with Mr President for a few weeks now. Terry has been in contact with Ducati UK, and we are awaiting a date when the facory could accomodate a group of 20 + people, arrange transport etc.

A list of those interested would be useful.

I did the factory & museum visit with the DSC in January. Great day out and well worth the effort - I'll see if I can dig out my original posts about our trip + photos ;)

I was thinking about going next year, just for a weekend or whatever, but if UKMOC are thinking about organising something, I am MOST definitely interested. :bunny:

Just had confirmation of a factory/museum visit on Tuesday 21st Feb 2006 @ 4.00. (half-term) I managed to get rturn Ryanair flights from Stansted for the extortionate price of £28 including tax etc. :eek: There are still some available if anyone's interested.
