7,500+ on mine in the thou - and still fine :) - rear is prob still unused :D

race bike (600) has done all season so far - not mega miles, but lots of hard work tho  - pads still fine there too.

2500 for rear pads is way too little miles....jack the rear wheel up and check caliper isn't binding/slave clyider is't sticking!

hhmm...5k now and still lots on the rear..(oo..eer)..
has the bike been resting a while...as the callipers will be sticking...when i ride off i always do the old 'brake test' sometimes the rear bites a bit...but only if its been sitting for over a week...

not much help i know..but someone will be here soon to help you.. ;)

make sure the plunger in the master cylinder isnt binding, mine was due to corrosion from pin and scraped up bore, seemed ok when you tested it but ride for a while, and after a few uses back brake would stick on. Tried cleaning up, but body of pluger is plastic so ended up replaceing master cyl.
