So...which one of you can tell me which model's wheels are interchangeable. Not only year model, but bike model. I have a 750 from '97...can I swop with 900's, 888's, 748's, ST's or none? Any difference front or rear? Any mods to make it possible (swing arm)?

A lot of questions, I know, but there are so many models too....

don't quote me on this but the fronts are pretty much the same but the later models have a larger spindle. The rears do the same but width wise, the 600 and 750 share the same profile as they share the same swingarm. The 900 arm fits as a straight swap and will allow the wider rim or to stick with the thinner 750 one. The hub is the same only the rim differs. I swapped to a 900 arm on my 600 and still run the 160 section tyre.
I think the ss range match that of the monsters, couldn't tell you any more than that.

Hope thats a help.

An SS swing arm is totally different in how the shock mounts

Cheers for that PD...all I need now is someone to tell me about the rest of the models.

Pedro, I think PD meant that the wheels of the SS fits the monster.

i did indeed mean the wheels.

The 851 is the same wheel system as that was the origins of the monster, swinger will fit too. Don't know about 888. Forget the 748 for obvious single sider reasons and the M1000 and S4 etc will be the new spindle size.

Just the ST etc to go. Why not ring a dealer and they'll soon tell you.

Been told that the ST fits too.
However, will I have to change the rear shock if I get a 900 swingarm? I've noticed that suppliers recommend different shocks for the 750 and 900. For my old year model at least.

Don't think that the wider 900 rim fits in the narrow 600/750 swing arm?

No, but I'm thinking about changing to a 900 swingarm.
Question is...will the rear shock still fit since different shocks are recommended for the different models.

I got a 900 shock of ebay (20 quid) it is the same as the one from my 600 -although not knackered obviously, so yes same same.

As Alex said - pretty sure the rear shocks are the same as long as it uses the hoop 888 style suspension linkage. Later monsters have the S4/ST4 chassis which has a different linkage (no hoop) so the shock is different too.
