Side panel swap ?

I just got myself some nice carbon side panels, but they dont seem to match the flavour of carbon i have everywhere else. the rest of the stuff is greyer, just like carbon in fact, whereas the new side panels have more of a bronze tint to them... like the original heel protectors in fact. does anyone have the reverse problem, and has some grey/black carbon panels to swap ?

generaly the carbon or finish at least on some ducati parts are not brilliant
its just luck of the draw im afraid.

i read somwhere boot polish (black) is good for colour restoration

maybe it is just that then...
i just didnt think the other carbon bits were of any better quality or had been exposed to light any less..
so if someone has BRAND NEW BLACK side panels, i'll swap them for my old yellowish ones. lets face it, you dont want black panels if the rest of your carbon has discoloured.. its all about matching.
but then.. i'll try the shoe polish tip..bound the keep the inner tighs on my leather nice and shinny too.

I tried black boot polish but all I found was it made them shine more but the yellow was still there :(
