faulty speedo

hi there,

I have a faulty speedo on my M600. I was going to replace the sensor, but thought I would ask if there are any problems the speedo's are prone to?

It works (in the sense that it moves) but it doesn't really want to go much higher than about 40mph! I own a honda CBR 600 aswell so its not a simple case of my perception of speed...

Any advice gratefully recieved.

mine one doesn't go past 100mph, i've checked it by being followed by a friend at 115mph (bike doesn't want to go much more than that)

It may well be... I haven't actually looked yet. My only experience of bike mechanics is my CBR!
