Just thought I should say Hi

Got me a M1000 a few weeks ago and just can't keep off of it :D

I was reading a thread yesterday about cornering were it was said that you counter stear on fast corners and stear normally for slow so..... does that mean that theres an optimum corner/speed where you do absolutely nothing to get round?

Have fun,

Chris

I always wondered what those red and white signs with numbers on were for.
Welcome to the nuthouse!

I too, have a M1000. If you have any questions etc please do not hesitate to ask me. I am no expert, much better at riding it than maintaining it, but I have done a few bits to it to personalise it. Anywho, nice to know the monster population is growing! See ya! :burnout:

Big thanks to all those who have welcomed me to this forum. Will hopefully get out and meet some of you in the near future. :)

A question for BlueEyes: Does your clutch moan on fast get aways ?

Mine does and I've tried pulling the clutch apart and cleaning the dust out, I think it's better but it still moans a little.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

What a question to ask a young lady  ;) :D

Sounds like it is starting to wear - is there any slippage when pulling away?
Is the bike new? Still under warranty?
If not, then a cheap fix is to swap the clutch plates around - easy to do, but eventually these dry clutches do need replacing :(
Just welcome you wallet to the cost of Ducati ownership :o

Oh, and welcome to the club.

Miles

PS: Where is Chatteris

The bikes about a 1 1/2 years old and done 6000 miles with no sign of the clutch slipping.

Would have thought it should last longer than that

Oh and Chatteris is about 20 miles north of Cambridge

Wouldn't worry about the clutch moan too much.

Try dumping it hard with a few revs and you'll get a good screech

Its a dry clutch
