After two great years of Monster riding I've decided to move on at the end of the month. I'm still planning to log on now and again to check out the forum if only for Chappers jokes and to see how long the song title thread has got.

It's been two fantastic years, the track days (2004 & 2005) being the highlights, I will miss that next June.

Thanks, Paul

speaking of which how is Nevada? hopefully your both doing the necessary to keep it warm.
Looking back should have saved the trip for Sept and the blackrock desert but there is always next year. Hope you are having the life of riley.

Don't matter, you can still post.

Richard, Nevada is going well. After my 6 month sabbatical from employment I am now back in an engineering role for those folk who sell all things cranberry. Still enjoying exploring, spent some time in Arizona looking around, the strip is as faux and as wild ever with the casinos getting more outrageous by the day. It's monsoon season here at the moment (believe it or not) so it's 40 degrees, humid and we are guaranteed a nightly storm over the mountains, which I often sit in the garden with some beer to watch. The locals tell me this usually lasts until about the middle of August and then it's back to the relentless sunshine for another few months :D . Tomorrow a friend of mine is lending us his corvette "to borrow" for the day so we're gonna pick a spot on the map and go for it, these guys can be so generous!!
May go down to lake Havasu city and take a few snaps of the old London bridge. :bunny:

Take care all

You can't go :(

So what's made you go for a Daytona from a Monster?

Why the switch? I like my Monster 620 but want more oomph, I nearly went for a S2R but the lack of a local dealer is a problem for me and the servicing costs are too high anyway.

I've always like the look of the Daytona and when I enquired the trade up price was less than a new S2R, serving is less and insurance about the same. Finally, the test ride clinched the deal for me.

Good luck on the Daytona Paul, the write ups seem to be very posative.
Keep us informed on the comparison. I reckon you will end up with a 999!!!

top stuff, wishing you both the very best. You don't need bends when you have a ‘vette.

ciao

ps Monsoon season should be bliss, its all about the howling winds
when you have a cocooning opportunity in the next room. Chink Chink etc

oh and ship me over some of those berries - they are good for the prostate apparently.
