I've decided to keep my M600 untill the new year and I'm about ready for a new rear tyre. I've just done 3000 miles on the original Metzeler ME Z1 and this weekends trip down to Brands will see it off.
Where is the best place to get it replaced? are there any 'drive' in fitting shops for bikes? Do I go for another Metzeler? Should I replace the front at the same time even tho its still good?

Do a search for Stapletons tyres on the net,we use them to buy our tyres at trade prices.

I always use SPR in Ruddington for service and tyres tel: 0115 921 6958 or Cornerspeed in Kirkby in Ashfield tel: 01623 758877

Jim - without turning this into yet another "which tyres are best?" thread, I do recommend Pirelli Diablos for the Monster - you really ought to be getting a lot more than 3000 miles out of a rear on an M600, unless you are a right heavy handed nutter! - even then, surely the M600 hasn't enough power to shread a rear in so few miles?

I get around 6000 miles from a Diablo rear until it's time for a change, and they are great in all weathers (ask the Desmo Duers x)

I finished up with a Metzeler sportec M1 from Dexel Tyre. They recomended I stick with the Metzelers untill I was replacing the front too (is that good advice?) The fronts a ME Z1.

Tyres schmyers - what I want to know is how do I chop the tail off my bike, and while I'm at it, I say aren't those servicing costs a bitch?!

Very true I find my tea tray very usefull.
1.Putting my coffee on while standing outside having a smoke at work.
2.Putting nuts and bolts/tools on while tinkering.
3.Why chop it off when it serves a purpose?
