The first real bike I owned was a CB125 when I was 12 years young which I used to ride on the local fields, so about 2 yrs ago I bought a very rusty CB125 lets say to revist my youth and now I have a highly modified restored 1973 CB125S, bored out to 180 cc using a Honda Donkey engine piston. (first bike was actually a C90 but not a real bike)?

Serious amout of torque for a little old CB125 and 70 MPH is very easy!

Not a Ducati but has as much character.

Any other early starters out there?

That's one mint looking little bike Shaun!

I had to wait till I was legal and could afford to buy my own when I was 17! It was the tattiest Honda MTX 50 in the country but I loved it to bits......I remember going for my first "dirty weekend" on it....it took me 6 hours to get Rhyl from Stoke on Trent!!!

.............happy days!...........

Not quite the story you were looking for, but what the heck!
