Dear Agony Aunt

I Just had a txt from my mate who says that our local stealership is getting an S2R demo in next week. Now, i have said i would like one as i fell in love with them when they came out, and after speaking to a couple of people who have ridden, or in fact are priviliged to have one, things do sound good.

However, i have just purchased a Hardly Ridable as i have always wanted one, but never thought i would due to cost, etc, etc. I cant have 4 bikes, i can only afford to pay for one, and am in a hell of a state wondering what to do.

So i ask you,

Should i take one for a test ride, regardless if it possibly blows my mind and i sign the paperwork there and then?

Or

Do i leave it and wait until i can buy one (in just over a year) and save myself the sleepless nights?

Yours desperately

L

Plum, if it's a case of waiting a year or so, then wait. There'll probably be more bargains then as well.
Enjoy your Monster & HD. If it was me, I'd just wait.

4 bikes? - what is the other one you have? - I'd sell that (unless it's an XR400 of course) and your 600 Monny, and go for the S2R...

Well JMo, its like this

1979 XT250 with only 15,000 miles. Very personal reasons for keeping

2000 Monnie - I would get sod all for it. I would have to sell this to buy the S2R, but couldnt be without a monnie, and i cant afford this as well as my HD.

2001 Hardly Ableson - I KNOW i would get a fair bit more than i paid for it. But i have just bought it, and my wife will only come out on the HD, as she isnt keen on the monnie.

So do i get rid of the HD (and the wife)!?

I am going to have a beer and think about this :(

Totally understand - just being a classic trailie would be enough reason x

Perhaps Didge is right then - wait a year (although your M600 will be yet another year older), until you've had more than enough of the tractor, then sell it and buy an S2R...
