Today I have had fitted a datatool system 3 alarm on my 600 Monster. After the technician chappie finished (& gone!) I noticed that there was a wire hanging down from the tank.

There were 2 connectors, a black & a white from the tank, whilst in the area underneath the tank there were two other connectors, a brown & a dark blue. I assume these came undone when the tank was lifted up. Which colour goes to which colour and what are the wires for?

Thanks,
Barnaby

They're probably the wires that light up your low fuel indicator light.

Not sure which way round they go though (or even if it matters). Thought the connector only connected up one way round.

Mine remain broken (after removing the tank without remembering to disconnect them) after breaking about 5,000 miles ago. I just reset the trip meter every time I fill up and don't let it get past 150 miles befor refilling.
