after a hellish day at work i was sidetracked by the outside seating of one of the many pubs manchester has to offer. did consider the squires thing but would have been narked if i'd gone home, checked the site and no-one was going. plumbed for the safe option.

bet it was packed wasn't it?

edit: hang on, just noticed your new avatar tony - ha ha ha

Only saw 3 monsters there last night - one of them mine! There was a smart red 620 (02) reg and a red N reg with UKMOC stickers. Didn't manage to catch the owners for a natter though! :(

It was packed!

Quite a few other Ducati's there.

Q. What's the difference between a Ducati clutch & the train that runs past Squires?
A. The train is quieter!
Alternative answer - the train is more reliable?

Hopefully I should catch up with some of you in the future (or were you all avoiding me?)

I only saw 1 Monnie parked up - a red S4r but I didn't manage to catch the owner for chat. I did see a blue / White S4r pulling into the car park but managed to lose him. It was bloody packed last night..

Note to self - Get peoples mobile numbers when trying to meet up at squires :)

sh1t - while you were at squires? that sucks. sorry to hear that tony. look out for blood - someone broke into my car once, must've cut himself trying to nick the speakers, wiped the blood on the window (tiny spot) but forensics got him on it (yep, not kidding) and he got 2.5 years (probably taking into account another 5000 offences).

Sorry to hear that tony, :( Police were probably busy nicking motorists & bikers at the time. I once heard an apocryphal story about a bloke who rang the police when he heard his garage was being broken into. The police said they didn't have anyone available immediately but would come as soon as they could.

He rang back a minute later to tell them not to bother because he had a shotgun & would deal with it himself & rang off.

Very shortly afterwards whole posse of rozzers arrived and one officer said "I thought you said you had a gun" to which our hero replied "I thought you said you had no-one available!"

I know this doesn't help you at the moment.

Shame I missed you I hung around your bike for a while- are you going to the Barton bunfight? - might see you there..
Macca- whats a numpty?

honda cx 650 i am in manston leeds 15. police have seen kids riding it outside of a local school but have yet to catch them. or visit me for fingerprinting the garage. barton when is it? a numpty is a multistrada i think

bigredduke

barton is 6 july.
police probably can't arrest the kids 'cos it would be an infringement of the human rights or some other such b****cks. They never seem able to deal with pondlife driving or riding with no licence, tax, insurance etc but or those of us with everything in order - piece of cake innit?

cheeky monkey

Yup!!!!
The result of a 25 year ambition to own a big twin Duke - rode a 900ss in the late 70's & was smitten. my bruv-in-law has a 1972 450 single, absolutely mint.

I've had the s4r about one month. I was just browsing on ebay and it turned out to be in the next village. I took a spin out, more out of curiosity than anything else & fell in love!

When I got back, my wife asked where I'd been, I jokingly said I'd seen a duke, it was fabulous and I wanted it!

She said OK I could have it! Gobsmacked!!!

It was 11 months old, mint with 2400 summer miles on the clock. The guy who sold it bought an MV FS4!

Hi Jim, welcome to the club! :D

Some members get to Squire's regulary and I'm hoping to arrange a Monster meet up for a Wednesday night once I've replaced my rear tyre. Hopefully I can do that this weekend, and if the weather forecast is kind then I'd like to go again next week.

Wednesdays are the busiest night and Sundays are the busiest day, especially when it's hot and sunny :D

Keep an eye on the "Manchester" page - I'll post something soon!
