Over a month ago I ordered a pair of Scorpion aluminium low level cans for me new M1000 through Hein Gericke.
1st set arrived after about a week through PDQ (tuning specialist in Slough) but both headers were damaged, so PDQ sent them straight back.
2nd set arrived, delivered to Hein Gericke evening before my holiday. I picked 'em up, had a quick attempt to install r/h one but wasn't too happy with fitting kit. Had me week's holiday. Tried to fit r/h one again the day after me holiday but couldn't fit the damn thing on. Got an engineer mate round, he couldn't either. Wrong size bolts & nuts. Took cans & fitting kit back to Hein Gericke (who have been extremely helpful by the way) to see how they thought it would fit together. Matey in shop then unwrapped l/h can and that had a dent in it! Fortunately for me it was obvious I'd never unwrapped it.
Few days later Hein Gericke rang to say that they've just been sent a replacement for dented l/h can. Great! At long last! Hold on, HG report that Scorpion have sent a damaged r/h can!
Got a refund for Scorpion cans (5 out of 6 were damaged!) and order some Remus instead (£342). 2 weeks leadtime.
Richard at HG believes it's the way that Scorpion were wrapping the cans, i.e. hardly at all. Parcel Force then sling the box into the back of the van..........you can guess the rest.
