M600 fork seals

MOT time and the left seal must now be replaced...been quoted £10.50 per seal (GULP!!) at Motorapido...anyone know anywhere I can get cheaper pattern ones as £40+ for a pair of oil and dust seals seems really excessive to me...

maybe I could use universal ones (eg from demon tweeks 5.99 a pr), anyone done that and know the size?

Cheers

40 what? eh? mine were less than a tenner, the mechanic chappie got them as I have a fear of springs, I have also seen many (about 5) on ebay whilst searching for forks.

showa or marzocchi? I will try to phone him tom, I take it you have already tried the proper ducati dealers? you could try the lovely Betty O Donnahue at Ducati Glasgow for a good price? tell her Alex Yerbury says hello.

Take a look at the thread I started on the "How To" section...

Dont bother with the Ducati seals as they dont last, you need 'Leak Proof'
seals from www.motohaus.co.uk

get the pro-moly ones part number 5234 at £19.99 pair

go read the thread

Cheers :)
