I may have a knackered generator (see thread in electrics section). If this turns out to be the case, does anyone have one they know is working for a 1995 M900 that they can sell me? They seem to be hideously expensive, though I've not emailed Spareshack yet.
Cheers

PS Going on a touring holiday of Scotland on 6th June, so need to get this sorted out!!

Thanks Crust (and Spacemonkey on my other thread). Having bought a new Multimeter, it doesn't look like its the genny (who hoo), but this website is remarkably cheap, so I'll keep them in mind for the future.

This may have been mentioned in other replies, but another component that can cause charging problems is the regulator/rectifier unit. A knackered regulator is a common fault on mid 80's - mid 90's era ducatis of all types - early monnies and 900ss/916's in particular. Not sure what a new factory unit cost these days, but there are a few companies offering pattern replacements for around £60.

apparently you should inspect the connectors or wires pokeing out of the rectifier
