Does anyone know if there are any rear huggers made to fit the S2r?
I think the swingarm is identical to the S4R but I havent seen any for those either.

Dave, yes. I've fitted the two part hugger from Spareshack. www.shareshack.com. Keeps all the muck off.

Hi Dave,

I have a DP one on my S4R, looks nice and fits well but leaves a gap so the shock still gets some of the muck but better than nothing. QB do a hugger that doesnt leave any gaps but I didn't like the look of it (bit to big IMHO).
Both are available from Stuart at Spareshack :)
One of the nicest I found was this (http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/trurl_pagecontent?lp=de_en&trurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.desmorados.com%2fshop%2fcat alog%2fimages%2fKF.01.00S4R_1.jpg) and again (http://www.desmorados.com/shop/catalog/images/KF.01.00S4R.jpg) from Desmoworld :D

Hmm,that desmoworld one looks cool Darren, 189euros works out at about £130 but I suppose theres the postage and the vat hit if customs smell it.The spareshack ones more pricey than I'd bargained for at £180,where did you get the DP one?
Are there any non carbon ones?,plain gloss black would do me.

I have the spareshack 2 piece one on my S4r, i like the looks and it really seems to cover everything will have to wait for a big down pour to really test it. The Dp one is nice looking to but not good coverage.

I can take some pics of mine on the bike if u want on the weekend :)

I took of the wheel out to fit it ,found it easier, although the wheel just about comes out past the lower can, and i just touched the rim on the disc  next time im taking off the lower can to.

There are 3 tiny bolts from the brake line clips that hold it on the italians must have midget hands to fit them at the factory, lol

Dont fancy having to remove the rear wheel to fit it Lee.
I found none of the studs for my abba stand fit the S2R and they dont seem to make them yet,so I'm stuffed there,is the wheel nut a 46mm one?,same as the 916/748 ones.
I'm sure extra cursing will make up for the lack of a rear stand.

Hi Dave,

Got the DP hugger from Stuart at Spareshack, can't remember the cost though as I brought a few things at the same time
I didn't have to remove the rear wheel to fit it though and it does fit nice, just the gap it leaves in the swing that lets the crap get through to the shock that makes it not as good as the Desmoworld one, Stuart did tell me though so I knew before I brought it :)
I've attatched a picture and highlighted the gap so you can see what I mean, will try and get some better pictures over the weekend :D

Hi Dave I expect it is posssible to fit with out removing wheel just more tricky

I got my Abba adapters over a month ago direct from Abba, the S2r/S4r are the same i believe?

The wheel nut is the same as the one on my 748s, take off the lower can to unless u wanna mark the rim slightly like i did

Lee / Dave,

It is possible to fit / remove the Spareshack 2 part hugger that Lee has without removing the rear wheel. I did both with the rear wheel in and its a bit fiddly but not that difficult.

I've got some pics of it on my old S4R if anyone wants a look?

Lee, glad you are pleased mate. I'm still bikeless at the moment :(

Edited: for appalling spelling
