As you know my Monster was hit last week. I am still working to get it sorted out but it looks like US$8000. in damage. Rear wheel bent, Pipe bent, rear set bent, side stand, rear carbon hugger and worst of all frame bent at the rear.

A friend in Australia just lost his Monster in a very dramatic way. check this link for the story.

This was a bad month for Monsters.

F*ck me!!!!!! It would really be interesting to know what caused the bike to go up like that. He was very, very lucky. Imagine if that had happened at speed, he could have been a goner.
Yours was bad enough Byron, but the other guys mishap makes yours pale in comparison. All he's left with by the looks of it, is the front wheel.

could well be a leaky tank around the hinge (comon problem with monsters)
especially since that's where the fire started. could have burned through the fuel lines or wiring, causing the fault which stopped the bike. and then the rest went up in flames..
glad i got mine fixed.

It must be terrible to watch your bike go up in flames :(

But to also set fire to your country!! I hope they don't send him a bill

Still... as long as he's ok
