Gear Clunk!

Hi

As I am a new Monster owner, can anyone tell me if the "clunk" I get as I put the bike into first gear is normal or just my big feet!

I am also getting the clunk as I change gear going up, again is this my bad gear changes or could it be the fact that the bike is 3 years old and with only 1200 miles on the clock, not run in yet?

Mine is 5 years old and done 7k and it clunks even though I have had the clutch plates rebuilt, the clunk is less noticeable when the bike has warmed up.

The clunk is the clutch, gearbox and drive chain taking up the small amounts of slack and nothing to worry about.

Do check you chain is adjusted properly though.
