Hello

Noticed today that the clutch fluid on my 98 M600 is below the minimum, so reached for the "halfords universal" DOT4 off the shelf, but stopped when I saw the inscription on the reservoir cap: "use only DOT 3 + 5" (presumably 3 or 5?).

Hmm... checked the manual and it clearly says DOT4 for all brake and clutch circuits.

My instinct is to go with the manual... what does everyone else think?

The wording on the side of the Halfords bottle makes dark mutterings about being unsuitable for systems using mineral based fluids "such as certain citroens"!

Cheers
