With the track day rapidly approaching and having recently sold the Transit, I am in need of transportation for a bike trailer and recommendations on good places to get towbars fitted.
Ideally I would like the trailer to be aluminum and light enough to carry down the side entrance of my house. Should be able to fit two / three bikes (either one centred or two either side) - suitable for road bikes (Monster/996) or different sized motocross bikes (a 125 & 85).
I have had a quick look on ebay and there seem to be a couple on there similar to what I have in mind but what should I look for when buying a bike trailer? Ramps, stops, straps etc, what size wheels/tyres, how is it all connected? Lastly, how much should I pay and what are the best brands / makes to look for - the last thing I want is for the bike to fall from a shoddily made trailer!!
Secondly, I need to get a towbar (and electrics) fitted to a Land Rover Freelander in the South / South East area (Kent/ SE London). Obviously, I should get it installed and fitted by approved Land Rover specialists but does anyone know a reputable (and cheaper) Land Rover specialist who can supply and fit a towbar (removable if possible).
Thanks all for any morsels of info you throw in this general direction.
