HELP!!!!!!
I ve got a problem with my 620 ie dark. I ve been told ducati garage that the back cylinder is running very rich and the front very lean. No faults stored in Injection System. The so called mechanics have not got a clue.

Can anybody help?

The two cylinders do run like that although it shouldnt be excessive. The standard chip can't do separate fuel maps for the front and rear cylinders. The rear runs hotter than the front becasue its shielded from the air flow. The only way to tell for sure is to measure the exhaust gasses at the sampling points on the exhaust down pipes. If your mechainc didnt do that (perhaps he stuck his analyser into the end can) then i would suggest that you take the bike to someone who understands Ducati's!

Cheers for your reply.

The dealer has been in contact with Ducati HQ Italy? Ducati have E-mailed them on what to check for i e.
1: Check Fuel Injector flow rate and spray duration
2: Check Valve clearances ( which they should of done during service )

etc etc The list goes on.
Meanwhile I am stuck without a bike.

If they need to be asking for help at this early stage..it would seem they don't know what they are doing...flow rate's from an injector, never seen an injector pack up that way.....not very common

The thing is that all the motors run lean on one pot. i think i'm right in saying that non of the standard ECU's have different maps for front and rear cylinders. I suspect that there isnt actually anything wrong at all, its just how they are.

Cant say i have ever heard of the dealer you are using but i personally wouldnt take either of our bikes (ST4 and M600) to any one other than a Ducati only specialist. Our bikes go to www.cornerspeed.co.uk, might be a bit far for you but i know quite a few people who bring their bikes up from London for Neil to service them.

Their are other good dealers out there. I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you who they are.

Right, apparently Veloce took over when Chris Clarke went bust a couple of years ago. Some ex chris clarke mechaincs are working there. We popped into chris clarkes when we were in the area. I asked them for a 14 tooth front sprocket for my bike. They had never heard of anyone doing that mod to an ST!! They also couldnt sell me a set of braided front lines for it as they couldnt find them listed in any of their catalogs.
