Just wondering if anyone else is planning a trip up to Cadwell this weekend coming to watch the first of the Desmodue races staring a few of the UKMOC members?

I know it's also the Monster weekend so it may not be a huge turn out to Lincolnshire but I will be heading up Saturday morning and staying either in Boston or Ulceby Cross Saturday night, going to the circuit Sunday morning before heading back to Sussex after the racing.

Anyone that is thinking of doing similar feel free to say and perhaps we'll sort out a meeting point along the way.

Maybe someone in the know could post up the times for the races on the Sunday please?

Flip - practice starts at 9am for grid places - lap times.
Racing starts at 11, and we are poss on v late morning.

As you know, Lin (Phoenix) will be racing there - as also ourselves.

I know Walking pictures is going to watch - and also Pooh & Tigger (so local ,that they cant miss it really)
Jamcoly will be up there, as is fettling psychlists bike (but they arent sure if its going to make the grid yet, as its a last min purchase  )

Hope you can make it mate - come & dump your lid etc with us when you arrive :)

I'm going up, although I'm waiting to hear about a job interview, so I'm not exactly sure whether I'm going during the week(Thursday) or Friday night/Saturday morning.

Thanks CK for the times etc. and I will definitely see you when I get there (I'll need a nice coffee to warm up no doubt).

Slob, if you do plan to go on the Saturday then let me know as I'll be heading up round the M25 towards Dartford so perhaps we could meet somewhere there?

And James if you do decide to go by bike let me know as you're only down the road.

Any others???

C'mon you know you want to!!

Flip, I'll put a post up on this thread on Friday night if I'm still in the South. If I don't assume I've gone already. See you there.

Despite James' bestest efforts (I'm sure he was a Trojan in a former life cos he works like one  ) our Monnie won't be ready for this one. The 1-2 day parts delivery turned out to be 4 working days, so if James can't make it I'll be going up on my own with Bradders to have a giggle at the "competition"
The only serious competitor is gonna be Phoenix, real dark horse that one ;)
See you at Castle Combe in the rain :burnout:

Hmm this is the bit that determines where we fit on the grid - gotta work hard at that one.

Was just looking at that thinking it's gonna be interesting with the SoT - 11.45 SOT then 12.05 DD -

we are just doing SOT on the Sat, tooooo much aggro for the Sunday too.

Would be ok if we had a 2nd bike, but AK has already been slapped  for even starting to eye up my bike for that!

Hi Sammye,

I have just done Dartford to Louth (which is a bit further than I plan to go on the Saturday but not far from the circuit) on the RAC route planner and they reckon it takes three hours forty five minutes which I think is about right as they say five and a quarter hours from Littlehampton in total.

I haven't quite decided on a time to leave yet and can be fairly flexible if people are going to meet along the way but would expect to be leaving here somewhere around 10.30am.

Let me know what you think.

Rob,

I'll make sure I check this thread Friday night to see what your plans are too.

Cheers all!

...so what does it say about Louth to Alcester, If the racing finishes at 5:30ish and I've got my tent with me, I might try burning across to Arrow Mill for a drink (if they'll have me, at short notice)

Take me 2 3/4 hours with car and trailer Rob. I plan to go back to the mill on the way back to say Hi too. Its just down the road from where I live.

that almost sounds like a plan then...
I've looked at the weather report (guesswork/gambling) and I think I'm probably going to run up to Lincoln to see a mate on Friday and head to Cadwell on Saturday morning.

O.K. Peeps,

I have booked a room at the Haywain Motel at Ulceby Cross on the main A16 between Boston and Louth (about a 25min ride from Cadwell circuit) for the Saturday night.

Map here:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=541278&y=373768&z=3&sv=541278,373768&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf&dn=743&ax=541278&ay=373768

There is a pub attached which does food so if anyone wants to meet there for a drink or to get something to eat during the evening then please feel welcome to join me.

Now lets get praying for sunshine!!!
