Brand new fully adjustable (with remote reservoir) rear ducati 888 Showa shock, which will fit earlier monsters (the one with the arched suspension loop). Part number 36520171A...dealer price £604.

I run one of these on my 888 and they are superb bits of kit !

£275

Does it fair up well compared to Ohlins or WP? Either way PM me your address and I'll have a cheque posted to you. Price includes P&P for such a quick sale? ;)

Have fitted said item today and have to say ...... it looks feckin' ace!!

Bit a a sod to fit as had to adjust the position of the rservoir hose (be warned, the oil is under pressure!!!) but got it sorted.

Cheers Nat for a quality bit of kit and emptying my wallet!

Cheers Ped ! C&F - For your average Joe..a Showa is perfectly adequate - cant be that bad if they use them on the RC211V's eh ??! :D

ANd all for half the price of an Ohlins ! ;)

PM on its way mate..

Will take some pics later me ol' chukka.

Have only fitted the reservoir with temporary mount so far but will sort that later/tomorrow. Haven't tried it yet as it's p*ssing down! Anyone fitting one might want to think about backing the preload off on the spring as it's stiffer than stock monster

PM sent Nat!

By fully adjustable you mean compression and rebound damping?

Dave :D

I've just taken delivery of one of these items :p
It looks almost identical to the later SS model shock, apart from the remote reservoir - the SS reservoir is built onto the shock. My SS shock is superb quality, 17000 miles and it looks and behaves as brand new, so I'd expect these to be every bit as good!
Fully adjustable for spring preload, compression, and rebound. Superb value for money I'd say!
Pics and ride report once I get it fitted in a day or two . . .

Here's a couple of pics of the shock fitted to my 900 - I haven't finished the reservoir mounts properly yet but you get the idea.

Nice :D I'd probably mount the reservoir on the hoop or at the bottom of the side panel.

Yeah, I thought about that too but there's not enough room under the side panel with cutting it. Not sure mounting it on the hoop is a good idea either......

It would probably fit under the grab handles on the RHS though.

Is the hose long enough for the grab rail?
