Hi there,

my name is Thomas and I will be in London for a year together with my Monster 1000 S.

I am originally from Munich and used to riding on the countryroads in southern Germany (hence the nic).

Where do you guys meet for weekend rides? I want to go riding on 23/24th April.
Who joins in and shows me where the bends are?
I like to ride speedy but not headless (is that understandable for non-Germans? :burnout: )

See you...
Tom

Hello Tom, I'm not from London but welcome anyway. I'm sure they'll all be in touch soon. Look up the Ace cafe, they have an italian night.

and if you are free tomorrow - we are having a 'sprint into Hampshire to a dealer open day. Prob about 80 mile round trip from Newlands Corner (10 minutes from Box Hill)

Unfortunately, I have friends around on the weekend...

Horrible timing on the start of the season. But the weather will not be nice anyway tomorrow, so I hope for the weekend thereafter :D

Just up the road from The Ace Cafe.....look at the website & go visit it any day...weekends are usually busy http://www.ace-cafe-london.com

And that last bit of advice comes all the way from the States. Nice one Dave, I knew there was a linky somewhere. You got shares in the Ace.

Wondering how I get negative points for welcoming people. PD, got room at paranoid house?

:D

"Erste Fahrt" (part of the picture name) means "first ride"... So the temperature was not really important
But the roads were clear and the air temp was somewhat at 5°C or so. And I was wearing cloves during riding as well.

But to be honest: I prefer riding when the street temperature is above 10°C and the air above 15°C.

do you use the bike during the week ?
No, not to get to the office. In the evenings from time to time, yes. And I will be having a few days of training in East London. I am thinking of going there by bike. But usually, I don't do distances that don't allow the engine to get warm.

great to meet up with you today Tom :D - shame it was only a morning's ride about, but maybe a longer day next time when you are free.

Nice bike
