A larger slave unit (that thing by the sprocket cover) I think stu sells them. there are other options as you can fix other ducati clutch mechanisms.

Hi budge see you are in Sheffield keep a eye on the Yorkshire ride out's page, be nice to meet others peeps.
As for your question the above seems like the best idea or buy one with a slipper clutch as there a lot lighter(1st mod is probably cheaper though) ;)

Speak to Stu at Spareshack and ask for an Evolusion Slave Cylinder

About £100 I think.

I can vouch for the Evolusion product,

fitted one to my S4 a few weeks back - bit of a fiddly procedure as you have to bleed the clutch.

Highly recommended product - with a bit of bling factor.

I got some great advice from everyone here - have a look at the thread:

if your clutch is heavy,i'd say you have a problem, standard clutch on my '94 m600 is light as a feather,it does drag when cold though, you get a real crunch when you put in gear 1st time after a cold start,i always paddle away and bang it gear when i,m rolling, must look a real sight!once its warm,no problem.

Those slave cylinders wont work on an m600 as it has a wet clutch with an internal slave cylinder. I dont think there is anything you can do to make it lighter.

Phoenix has a light action slave unit on her 600, that's a 98 bike. The standard external slave cylinder mount, so the evo one should fit. Perhaps the early 600s had the internal slave cylinder??

yup, thats it. the early bikes had an internal slave on the right hand side. Mines a '94 and the clutch is evil. fairly heavy and, as above, damn clunky in the mornings. i think they moved to the external slave on the left (same as the bigger bikes) when they brought out the 620 or round about that time. I think if you've got an early bike its a case of like it get rid of it. never really bothered me to be honest.

now wheres that Mr. Yerbury to put me right.....

Early 600's had the heavy clutch, with slave built inside clutch cover on right hand side of the engine. My own 1995 model really did my left wrist in big time in town, and I used to avoid stop/start riding at all costs. Fitting adjustable span levers helped a bit, as the standard solid ones were a bit of a stretch - but it was still a sod IMO.

After about 1998 the slave moved to the left on the later 600's. It was mounted on the outside of the engine casing (like the 9's) with a lighter action, and kept that layout when the 620 was introduced.

Mines a 99 reg bike but frame number is manufactured 98. Cyl is on nearside next to sprocket. Mines a Tecmoto one and I couldn't do without it. Cost £100 easy to fit.

Also Stu at spareshack does similar too.
