Speedo Error

The speedo on my S4R is showing a message like "DAINTE" and the milage has jumped from 30 to over 8000. Is there a known problem with this unit?

Are you sure that doesn't read "MAINTE" ? If so Jmo had the answer in another thread on how to reset it:

To reset the 'maint' indicator, hold down the left hand button and turn the ignition on, let go of the button, and then turn the key off, next time you turn it on, it should have dissappered...

Not sure why it should jump in mileage though
