Anyone happen to have a dynojet kit for an early carbed 900 kicking about anywhere?

I have an open airbox and DP filter gathering dust that I really want to use....

Any nasty surprises to look out for when fitting?

Ped me ol' fruite - what exactly does a 'dynojet' kit contain?

When I opened the airbox of my XR up (removed the top cover/snorkle, and fitted a free-flow air filter), I just changed the jets (pilot and main) which cost the princely sum of a fiver each... of course you'll need two of each jet, but that's still only around £20 I would imagine...

Can you not find out the correct new jet sizes from someone (say Steve at MotoR) and just do that?

I think there is a parts breakdown on the dynojet website. They do appear on ebay, do a worldwide search pedals. Jen with the genuine article ped should receive some rather snazzy dynojet stickers, I suspect it's these he's after.

As Yerbs said theres a bit more to the kit than just main jets. My 600 kit had needles + clips + shim washers, slide springs and 2 sizes of main jet with new o-rings.

The instructions supplied with the kit are pretty good too.

Oh - and not forgetting the sticker  silly me ;)

There are also kits made by Factory Pro in the USA. Similar to dynojet but rumoured to give better end results, as you get more options on parts and settings.

is worth reading, has made a reasonable difference to a friends TDM850

Thanks for posting that link Simon, I was looking for better info on the factory pro stuff for my reply and gave up in the end.

Glad I've got injection on my 900 now TBH - all this re-jetting malarky was a lot of faffing compared to the latest Power Commander & pc route to tuning ;)

My mate Ian runs Factory pro gear on his tuned GPz900, and raves about it's benefits compared to the usual Dynojet option. He also said the Factory pro guys were really easy deal with online or by telephone, and definately know how to get the best out of an engine.

Cheers Chaps!

Anyone in the UK stock the Factory kits?
