Anyone thinking of a spin round Argyll needs to be extra careful. I was pulled outside Oban on Friday with a £30 fine for a small number plate. There were EIGHT coppers - four two man motorcycle units - hanging about the garage heading for Connel bridge. The one that gave me the ticket says that they "will be doing everyone with race cans, small plates or dark visors" Its great to know that serious crime must be so well under control that they can expend this kind of manpower on trivial offences. On the other hand he did say my cans were OK!

What cans have you got?

I have low level SilMoto round alloys. They are pretty loud, but there is no visible "Not for road use" mark. It is an early bike ('93) and I am not sure if the regulations are the same.

nice to see our taxes are well spent here as well as down south. I hope they also stopped every suburu driver with a drain pipe hanging under his back bumper.
