Got rear-ended at the weekend. Damage not too bad, could've been a lot worse. Major damage is the car that hit me (at mini roundabout, 100% his fault) totally trashed my l/h can.

I had the awesome D&D's on. Trouble is it looks like there is no longer an importer for D&D's. I've spoken to a tuning specialist in Brands Hatch who recommends BOS. They've got removable baffles therefore they've got the 'E' stamp. Dealer claims they're deep and rumbly once baffles are removed.

Anyone heard the sound BOS make? Any input into BOS carbon round cans would be appreciated.

Cheers!

yawn...very well, I was going to buy a supersport (older style) before I decided on the monster, I saw one (900) with bos cans, (alu low level) they sounded very nice, but really not that diff from sil and remus? these were not the db killer ones but I imagine it would sound similar with the baffles out?
Alex.
anyone else heard any round bos carbon cans recently?

thanks Shaun, Terry & Alex for replies. I've no worries on quality, it's the sound I'm after. I'm not after loud for the sake of it, I'm after a deep deep deep sound and then even deeper with Mr Rumbly crisply barking "Ready Aim Fire" in the background.......

I've had both Remus & Sil before on the trusty M600. Loud yes, but nothing compared with the loooooow ear-bleeding sound the good Lord Terry of Herbert's D&D canned 'flying custard M600' that he flogged me at a mere £100 from many moons ago used to produce ........

I'm still willing to give these BOS cans a go.....just to be different from the Termi/Sil/DP plebians around here.....unless of course someone has an undamaged l/h D&D slip-on for sale........

Cheers!

Well if you really must be different get some fabricated? via mr zorstec, get something straight through with no baffle, having hauled my 6 around a bit without a can I can vouche for the ear bleed factor, although if truth be told it can become tiresome and is perhaps a bit adolescent....I digress, the bos I heard were fruity but did not have the thump you describe, get some d d from abroad? those straight thru megaphone jobs sound good (unfortunately I cant remember who makes them)
happy hunting.

ps. I bagsie the band name "maximum sonics"

Striaght through megaphones are the RR cafe stylee. You could also look at carbon Can Co, I was looking at a very nice looking twin port can in the old blue flame mode by CCC on some sort of yamaha and they sounded pretty good. Looked nice too.

Actually d&d do the megaphones I was thinking of! the rr are just bit fatter, I belive Bryon kaufmeister has dd phones. narrower can, less absorbtion more racket. I am just going to get a piece of chrome pipe from homebase....

Nothing sounds nicer than a pair of D&D's. I have a set for my 600 but had to take them off as they are a tad too loud for the local cozzers. Still summer on the way, i might even put them back on. I think i have a link for someone who can supply them. I shall see if i can find it as its on my home PC (at work now)

Cheers

I got an email from d&d, apparently they do have a uk distributer ,although he/she called this distributer "motorcycle stuff" which all sounds a bit vague and also mentioned that they dont make anything to fit an m600 (this also sounds like balls of the highest order)
so if you are dead set on a pair email then bug gers and find out who this distributer is.

I emailed D&D, first thing I did. I haven't had a reply from them yet. I'd imagine they say they don't do cans for the 600 simply cos the 600 wasn't available in the US. The 750/900 is exactly same as 600

FAO LesPaul, thanks for TBR link, I've heard of them, a lot of DML in the US use Two Brothers cans.

I'll ring CarbonTek (UK Importer of TBR) on Sat or Tue when they're open.

worry not, those were my thoughts exactly and I notified them straightaway as they have the monster in their online catalogue... also requesting more specifics on this "motorcycle stuff" distributer.
their website has an mpg of an s4 on the dyno, but as it is an s4 it sounds rubbish.
yours with a spanner amongst the pigeons..
