Just brought my S4 back to life and have fitted an alloy flywheel, quicker throttle response, a simple effective mod.

bought from Germany..this is a top after market parts supplier, price including postage and was cheaper than i could find in the UK!

does the lighter flywheel not make for a lumpy low end ?

no problems with tick over or general low speed running, i thought there may be but its fine

which makes you wonder why its not the lighter one as standard ?

just got the light weight flywheel for my s4 and got another 250grams skimmed of the edge of it. runs like a little beautie, no tick over probs or nowt!

can't recommend it though as it has only covered a few miles so far... so no long term feed back yet.

The stock unit is ~ 1.8 kg, the one i have fitted is ~ 0.6 kg, any ideas how heavy the flywheel is you are using?

ok daft question why do you need a fly wheel at all ? looking at the 230 g ones it hardly seems worth having one at all ?

so after running some time now with the 'light' flywheel there is a difference which you can feel, its not at low speed its actaully when you get into higher gears and especially when going uphill, there are more low freqency vibes from the motor, thinking about it only to be expected however the light flywheel overall is still a good improvement but as they say round 'ere' you don't get owt for nowt! Front end is far more lively but i can put up with that!
