he had a debate on wether we have too many road signs, speed humps red paint etc - ie the motorists no longer have to think about anything & as such more acciedents occur.
Apparently they've done an experiment in holland where they took away all the traffic lights/ white lines/ humps, even the kerbstones and not only did the accident rate fall, but the traffic actually flowed better
