Has anyone ridden a standard Monster hard on a track (or road) and can provide some feedback as to how well the standard front end setup can cope?

I'm thinking about how much to change the front of my Desmo Due Monnie and won't be able to really test it until later this month, so would appreciate any info.

My options are;
- leave it as it is
- shims
- thicker oil
- harder springs
or combinations of the above - any ideas?

Thanks
Tim

The front end isn't too bad, but does benefit from firmer springs. Experiment with oil weight to get the damping characteristics you need, the actual weight will vary from bike to bike. Shims may be an alternative to new springs, but can't comment on how thick!
See you at Cadwell ... :)

:twisted: Twas good fun that - unleashing 50hp of 600cc fury on the watercooled boys round Mallory... :lol:

Zimbos right....didnt really have any issues..ran with a heavier fork oil which seemed fine..id be more concerned with the back (and its lack of adjustment) to be honest Tim..
