polishing cans

Hi
Has any one had their standard cans polished?
Whats the best way to go about it & how did they look? My local polisher wants them apart - anyone attempted this?

Standard cans will come apart - see the "Can Coring" section on www.ducatisuite.com

He shows how to get them apart I think. Never seen stock cans polished so post a piicy when they're done

I did my own. Used a couple of the finest wet and dry, which took out any marks. Then used a polishing kit from Busters. Took a few hours per can, but the end result was sweet. I polish them up with Autosol and they always look like they did when i finished them.
