Hi

I’ve just joined UK Monster, because I figured it would be the best place to start a monster hunt!

I’ve just passed my test and am looking to buy an M600 or 620. I have about £2,500 to spend and am looking to buy in the Midlands area, as I don’t want to spend too much of my budget on travelling.

Oh, one more thing – it has to be red (call me picky, I know!).

So, if you’re thinking of selling and have a monster you think might be of interest, please let me know.

Thanks

Helen

Would be surprised if the reserve is much less than £2500, but it still a lot of bike for the money, and looks like it's been well looked after. Not sure what the going rate for an early 620 is at present, but you might struggle to get a real goodun for just £2.5K

Thanks for the suggestions - think I'll still try for a red M600/620. Only just passed my test, and don't really want anything bigger yet!

Bit wary of the E-bay option, but will bear it in mind.

In terms of the M620 – I did see one advertised (trade) for £2,695. It sounded good, but I’m new to this, so it may well be a bit like ‘a compact, bijou studio apartment’ – translated as ‘it's dark, there’s one room and you can’t swing a cat!’

treat ebay as you would a newspaper or trade ad?! go and have a look before you put in a bid. Many people are wary of ebay like this which is why the bikes are often such bargains. the choice as they say....

Not sure if he advertised it on the site or not - it was more than I had originally planned on spending, but isn't that always the way!!

Just looking forward to getting out on two wheels again! See you all soon when I've got to grips with it!

It is a tidy little bike but without wishing to douse your happy parade it is about a grand more than I would have paid.. but what the heck! it's yours, it has low mileage and it's a monster. I have had all my bits sprayed a mettalic red, some bits at different establishments. If you find a seat cowl then getting the colour match should be no trouble at all.

It isnt alway the way! I got the same bike on ebay. I shall keep schtum on the price though for modestys sake! next time you need something put a question up here, people can often help out with spares and what not, and as for ebay I have bought a headlamp a shock and an entire loom for 50 quid, brand new that would be about 700 quid? If you have someone with an account the savings can be enormous.

safe riding.
Alex.

Enjoy riding your Monster - I passed my test towards the end of last year and I have a red 620 and I love it. :D

As for the price, some people may say it was overpriced but I was in my local Ducati showroom today and there was a 51 reg 600 with more miles than yours, without the carbon cans for £3500. I think Desmodronic's was probably a better buy - and a lovely colour from the sound of it.

Well Done
