Proceed with caution!..aged 14...on a mint C90 my italian grandad (god bless his soul) left me in his will...(he knew how much bikes meant to me) sold it to pay for my first wheels...MBX50..which I had many happy memories knocking about outside swindon ice rink on a friday night with may mates on there DR/AR/RD 50's waiting for all the chicks to come out :D :D

2nd pic on MBX aged 15 at asda car park on a sunday (before supermarkets opened on a sunday!!)..my dad used to ride it there with me pillion (can you imagine - 3hp!!)..just so I could tazz about for half an hour before I was old enough for the roads !!

Note quality top man blouson jacket and Lazer LX3 lid...- mmmmmm nice protection !

Cool MBX. My mate had one as a first bike and it was the first bike I ever road. And it was black. Did you pull out the baffle like we did to make it sound like it could chase turkeys?

This one is from the late 60s. I used to be able to haul ass on this thing, one foot down flat track style. Funny, I got slower as I got older. Yeah, I was a fat kid too.

That was the "Daytona Special" paint scheme right from Yamaha. Did you get them that way?

Yep..did take baffle out (couldnt afford an allspeed :mad: )...lovely first bike..grafted an NS125F fairing onto it and a belly pan after a couple of months...had some very happy times on that bike !

Used to have curly, shoulder length hair with a full beard and tash in my early twenties, during what I now refer to as my 'Rolf Harris' reniassance period
